Pre-launch privacy draft

Privacy draft

This privacy draft explains the current static website status and the data categories that may need a real policy if WebScope later adds accounts, hosted audits, payments, or local software licensing.

Legal review is required before public launch.

Draft privacy coverage

These sections separate the current static-site data situation from possible future SaaS, payment, and local licensing data categories that would need review before launch.

Current static site

The current website is static. It does not provide accounts, billing, hosted audit jobs, report storage, Search Console connections, GA4 connections, server-log imports, or user-submitted audit targets.

Technical logs

The hosting provider may process basic technical logs such as IP address, request URL, timestamp, user agent, status code, and security events needed to serve and protect the site.

No current account or billing data

Account data does not exist because accounts do not exist. Billing data does not exist because billing does not exist. Audit target storage does not exist because live audits do not exist.

Future SaaS data categories

If SaaS features are added later, the policy may need to cover account email, audit target URL or domain, generated report metadata, usage counters, and billing provider references if payments are added.

Future local licensing data

If local software licensing is added later, the policy may need to cover license status, activation metadata, device activation data, and support records. None of this exists in the static site.

Private data sources

WebScope does not currently connect to Search Console, GA4, server logs, analytics accounts, private crawl data, login-only content, revenue data, conversion data, or user behavior data.

User rights

A final policy should explain how users can request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, or other rights available under applicable data-protection law.

Contact and retention placeholders

Privacy contact: [LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL]. Retention periods: [RETENTION_PERIODS]. International transfer details, if future vendors require them: [INTERNATIONAL_TRANSFER_DETAILS].

Cookies and trackers

The current static site should not require non-essential cookies if none are added. If analytics, ads, session replay, or marketing trackers are added later, consent handling and policy updates will be required before launch.
